BEANSTOCK COFFEE FESTIVAL
VANCOUVER

Saturday & Sunday,
Nov 2nd & 3rd, 2019

Performance Works, Granville Island

HIGHLIGHTS
Beanstock makes its debut at Performance Works on Granville Island in Vancouver, home to craft markets, exploring the city by the seawall, and of course delicious artisan food and coffees. With returning local favourites such as Pallet Coffee Roasters, Prototype Coffee, and Luna Coffee exhibiting at Beanstock, the coffee community was sure to follow.

Over a sold-out weekend of coffee tastings the fan favourites quickly emerged. David Kim Coffee from Calgary was a popular choice as a highly respected new roaster on the scene. Other roasters such as Lark Coffee Roasters and House of Funk Brewing made their festival debut. The Beanstock Espresso Bar was a highlight on the main stage, with the latest in commercial espresso machines on the bar with pro baristas pulling shots throughout the weekend.

The venue lent itself nicely for the event with rustic beams and plenty of light to let the late November festival shine on our friends within the Vancouver coffee community. We couldn’t be happier with the turnout and the fabulous coffees served!

BEANSTOCK COFFEE FESTIVAL
TORONTO
Saturday & Sunday,
May 26th & 27th, 2018

Harbourfront Centre, Toronto

After a successful first event in Vancouver, Beanstock headed east to celebrate the success of the specialty coffee scene in Toronto that is exploding with excellence in coffee. Located at the Harbourfront Centre in Toronto, Beanstock partnered with the Specialty Coffee Association to collaborate on a coffee event that would showcase the best in the specialty coffee industry and bring together some of the top professionals in the business.

Toronto besties Pilot Coffee Roasters lead the way with outstanding coffees at Beanstock, along with Hale Coffee Company, Balzac’s and many others from the emerging Toronto coffee community. Beanstock Toronto also attracted many out of town roasters to participate, including Structure Coffee Roasters, Saint Henri and Dispatch from Montreal, Little Victories Coffee from Ottawa, and friends JJ Bean and Pallet from Vancouver.

With the level of talent competing at the festival, naturally there would be time for some fun including latte art classes, espresso classes, and roaster education. Led by the SCA, there was access to in-depth panel discussions in coffee, guided coffee tastings, and hands-on education that made this event truly outstanding for enthusiasts and experts alike.

The SCA competition highlighted a new level of awareness for the specialty coffee industry with Beanstock audiences, and brought together the Toronto coffee community to celebrate excellence amongst friends and industry, paving the way for future collaborations in coffee.

BEANSTOCK COFFEE FESTIVAL
VANCOUVER

Sunday, Nov 26th, 2017

HIGHLIGHTS
The inaugural Beanstock Coffee Festival kicks off with a bang in Vancouver in a Railtown warehouse on the downtown eastside. The vibey first time festival gathers new names and faces in Vancouver’s emerging specialty coffee scene to brew up some notable favourites and hidden gems.

Making their debut at the festival are Pallet Coffee Roasters and Prototype Coffee, two players that would become forces in the city’s specialty coffee scene. Nemesis Coffee, much talked about for their next level cafe and roastery, made an appearance in 2017 at Beanstock as they were developing their vision for combining specialty coffee and culture in the city. And Beanstock favourites Luna Coffee and Rooftop Coffee Roasters also joined the party becoming roasters to look for at future festivals.

Beanstock was a hit and the Vancouver specialty coffee scene shined brightly, paving the way for future Beanstock Coffee Festivals!
